Whether you are training for a major sporting event like the London Marathon or Sportive Cycling Challanges or just training to keep fit, you will benefit from having a regular sports massage to keep your muscles soft and flexible and prevent injury, so you can keep on training.
I work with many different clients. Currently I’m treating 3 runners who are training for the London Marathon. Two of these athletes have sore calf muscles and previous muscle strains and one is having regular massages to ensure he keeps injury free, especially after long weekend runs.
I’m also treating two women with stiff shoulders and neck. They both had limited range of movement in their shoulders before treatment. After just one session of sports massage, they had both improved their range of movement in the shoulders and neck muscles.
I’m treating a few men who attended complaining of knee problems. Following a full leg sports massage, they both reported on feeling great after the massage, increased flexibility and no knee pain.
my clients for feedback, both during and after massage. One client provided the following response;
‘It was good that you talked me through what you were doing and which muscles you were working on and what you could feel etc. You checked the pain levels regularly. My quads were very tender and you have eased them loads.’
It’s really rewarding when you can help athletes continue with their training and daily activities. As a sports women, I was constantly picking up niggling injuries after the age of 32. Having regular sports massage treatments would have continued my sporting career.
My treatment room is in Plas Madoc Leisure, 5 miles from Llangollen and Wrexham, North Wales. Contact me if you require treatment for yourself or as a gift for a friend. delythjones@btinternet.com
